Japan, 1 Okober 2025 – The Dean and Vice Dean for Student Affairs (III) of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, conducted monitoring and evaluation (Monev) of the Japan Internship Program Batch 1, 2, and 3. This activity aims to ensure that the international internship program runs effectively and provides meaningful learning experiences for students.

The Japan Internship Program represents one of the Faculty’s key internationalization initiatives to enhance students’ competencies, discipline, and global perspectives. Through this program, students gain hands-on experience in modern agriculture, while developing a strong work ethic, professionalism, and cross-cultural understanding within Japan’s agricultural industry.

The monitoring activities included visits to Yukiguni Corporation, where students undertake their internships, and to the apartment facilities of Batch 1, 2, and 3 participants. The delegation also visited the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo to present reports on the ongoing internship program, and met with partners AJB and Yukiguni Corp, who serve as official collaborators for the internship placements.

In addition, the Faculty delegation visited Nagoya University to explore potential collaboration with the Indonesian Students Association (PPI) Nagoya, and established new partnerships with Chukyo University, Toyota, Japan.

This monitoring visit demonstrates the Faculty’s strong commitment to continuous mentoring of international internship participants, as well as its dedication to expanding global partnerships in line with its vision to become a center of excellence in agricultural education with global competitiveness.
